Being a workaholic is a good idea, but taking break sometimes from work and exploring the world is a smart and useful thought. This is your friend Adway Chavan, you guys know me best as a
photographer and traveller. Before I start with my travel experience, I would like to thank all my reader friends for their motivation and support.
Here I come Udaipur!
One of my readers suggested me to visit the city of lakes, Udaipur. I have heard great scholars say travelling is not just an adventure but one can learn quite a lot of different things. I followed this advice and landed in Udaipur, and I thanked my reader friend for suggesting such a wonderful idea to me.
Udaipur is a fascinating city, there are not just monuments, palaces and historic places here but one can grasp a lot of knowledge with respect to crafts and art. Handicrafts stuff look pretty
and they are best when made on by oneself and present to loved ones. So, I made a decision to try my hands on and learn something beneficial that can help me in future.
Learning some interesting things in Udaipur
Udaipur is a land of skilful people, I loved people playing with unwanted material and creating magical items with it. Scrap book making, paper gifts making, crafting and recycling were some of the things I wanted to learn from this creative people and it these were the things to do in Udaipur which had top priority on my list. There are many skilled people in Jaipur who offered one day or two day workshops for learning enthusiasts.
I am an eco friendly person and do not like to waste any material, so I thought of learning recycling origami. It was just a day workshop and they charge me just 550 INR. It was so innovative of making lovely baskets and other interesting stuff with colourful waste papers, and some pretty envelops as well.
Moving on, although it might sound a little weird but I love Henna designs. I really like the smell of mehendi and am keenly interested in the intricate patterns. So I went to learn Gujarati henna designs and other interesting patterns at New Ahimsapuri Road. A mere 350 bucks and you can come out with a new skill in your hand. I request all my reader friends to try out such craft skills when in Udaipur.
