Royal Heritage Tripura Castle- Home of Tranquil Hospitality

We landed at the Barapani Airport in Shillong at around 2 in the afternoon and were feeling a bit tired. So we headed straight towards our hotel which had arranged a car for us waiting outside the airport. We had booked two rooms for the four of us at the Hotel Royal Heritage Tripura Castle with the best hotel booking app available in Google Playstore.

The journey from the airport to the hotel was more than mesmerizing. We were extremely fascinated with the cool and pleasant ambience coupled with the neat and clean roads, well organized buildings and most importantly, the scintillating view of the mountains.

It took us less than 20 minutes to reach the hotel which is at a distance of approximately 32km from the airport. There is no doubt about the fact that the hotel gave us a feeling of royalty and regal elegance at the very first sight. We were welcomed in a grand manner in traditional Meghalayan style. The architecture of the hotel was enough to leave us mesmerized.

Since we were a bit tired due to the jet lag, we chose to go straight to our rooms. We had booked two double sized Supreme rooms for the four of us since we didn’t want to compromise with the comfort. On entering the rooms, we were simply dumbstruck by their massiveness and elegance. We freshened up immediately and took some rest on the large sized beds. In the evening, we decided to explore the hotel and have something exclusively Meghalayan at the restaurant.

With the ideal mixture of Oriental and European effects, the Hotel Royal Heritage Tripura Castle provides high quality recreational facilities and technically advanced features. We also visited the library which is full of exclusive manuscripts and has walls equipped with antiques and artwork.

The best hotel booking app had spoken highly about the hotel and we could see that none of them was wrong. There was a big hall named as Manikya which is designed aptly for seminars and conferences required for business based travellers. Then there were some special zones like The Rice Court, The Tea Lounge and Mezzanine Bar which served the best of specific dishes as is indicated by their names.
