My Amazing Experience in Bojjana Konda Visakhapatnam

From the hospital, I went straight to the Bojjana Konda Visakhapatnam, which is the oldest and famous place in the state. The place is basically famous for its two Buddhist sites, which are located in the surrounding hillocks and near to the village named Sankaram. The place is situated at a distance of about 45 kilometers from the city. I took a local cab to reach the destination. Bojjannakonda and Lingalakonda are the two sites present in the place and they are a few kilometers away from Anakapalle, the place that has been believed to be flourishing since the 4th century A.D. It was during the 9th century when Buddhism prospered here. If you are looking for some relaxing and weekend trip, this is undoubtedly one of the best places. Admittedly, I was thoroughly fascinated with the beauty of the place. It was a complete date with nature and also the Buddhist Monuments. There is a cave beside the statue and it serves as a nice place to hang out with friends as well as family members.

According to the local people, the place is associated with a rich history mainly because of the statues. Within a short distance from the village, one could see two hills and the statues were built in those hills. The complete area is surrounded by paddy fields and it is really an amazing view. I happened to wait there and captured some amazing pictures for myself. Both the hills have a number of monolithic stupas and caves, which were formed during those ancient times. Bojjana Konda is one of the most remarkable establishments found here and the name of the village was so given because of its Buddhist connection.

It was really an amazing experience visiting the Bojjana Konda Visakhapatnam and with that my journey ended in Vishakhapatnam. The place was quite amazing, but the climate was quite humid and harsh normally because of the sea nearby it was understandable. From there it was time to reach my hotel and catch a flight next morning back to Bangalore. I enjoyed the place thoroughly and was mesmerized by some of the beautiful locations and spots of the state.
