After visiting the famous caves I headed for another famous destination in the city and it was the Ramakrishna Beach Visakhapatnam. I knew that it is quite famous among locals and tourists visiting the city. The beach is named ‘Ramakrishna’ because of the presence of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram close to the beach road. Then, there is the famous Submarine Museum, which is near to the beach and this is an added benefit to the tourists. I visited the beach and the museum and they are quite nearby. The museum preserves the famous Kalvari submarine and draws a lot of tourists. The beach is one of the best known beaches apart from the Marina beach in this part of the country. Many tourists were seen bathing, swimming and playing beach volley ball, which are undoubtedly a few of the most common activities there.
I happened to stay there for a few hours and it was quite refreshing. The scenic beauty of the place was quite enthralling as well as exciting. Apart from the beach there is a big aquarium, a Kali temple, and many roadside restaurants, where one can check different cuisines. I roamed around the place and tried a few of the seafood. I should say that all of them were quite tasty and delicious. There is also the Visakha museum, where one can spend some time and a learn lot about the rich history of the place. I had limited time so I had to leave, but it was really exciting and I wished to stay for a few more hours. There was the museum which preserved the famous submarines and one could get a view of all of them by visiting the place.
This place is amongst the hot favorite tourist destinations in the state and for that reason, I could see many foreign tourists as well. The restaurants offered many snacks, tea and seafood, which were really delicious. On the other side of the road there is the famous Kali Temple and also the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram. I stopped for a brief moment in those places and they were really peaceful. I had a very wonderful time at Ramakrishna Beach Visakhapatnam. Since I had a little time, I left for my next destination, which was Visakha museum.
