When you are in Mumbai, Juhu Beach is a place you are sure to visit. After exploring the Hanging Garden we had planned to go to Juhu Beach. The distance from Hanging Garden to Juhu Beach is about 19 km and on the way we checked in to a good restaurant and had our lunch. We reached the beach at four in the evening and saw that it was already crowded with grownups and children. A number of newly married couples were also walking on the beach.
Juhu Beach is one of the most popular beaches in India on the shores of Arabian Sea. It is a home to many of the film personalities in India and also other eminent personalities. You may even meet one or two of them at the beach. Many film shootings have been done here. It is a perfect place to relax after a hectic day. There are many restaurants here where you get local food and international cuisines. However, food here is quite costly compared to other parts of Mumbai. I prefer the local stalls at the beach serving tasty bhel puris, Pani Puris and pav bhajis.. You will never get such tasty snacks anywhere else. To the north of the beach is the Gandhi Gram, where I saw children playing basket ball.
After sitting and relaxing for a while, we went for a camel ride. The boy made the camel sit down so that we could climb on it. Slowly it rose up and took us for a round at the beach. After the ride we got in to the sea and stayed in the water for a while. As we knew swimming, we swam for a few minutes and then sat down to dry ourselves. A boy with a dancing monkey came and the monkey danced to the tune sung by the boy. We paid the boy some money and then got up to have some of the local snacks at the food stalls on the beach. One is never tired of visiting Juhu Beach Mumbai and therefore it is always full of visitors all through the year.
