Initial days at Pune were great and exciting. As days went by work load was heavy and I started spending my holiday resting back at home. But this time it was again a weekend and my enthusiasm woke me up. I was back again re-energized for some adventure. I called up a few buddies and planned for the day. We were on for a long drive, some mouth watering Pani Puri and hot and spicy Vada pav and some far away destination.
The plan was perfectly in place. The curtains flew and my eyes opened. It was time to pull over some clothes and get on the shoes. I and 3 of my friends met at the Swargate bus stand. One of them
pulled over his car. I requested if I could drive and my request was welcomed. Wow! I was going to drive a car after long. I left my current counterpart – My bike at a parking and was all ready
There we went! A speeding experience is completely thrilling and adventurous though scary and risky. We had planned to visit the Khadakwasla Dam Pune. Situated about 20kms away from the city of Pune, Khadakwasla dam is a great place to spend a day. It was September and the south west monsoon made the dam overflow. It had filled the reservoir level to almost 94% and the dam seemed to be a sprawling garden of water. It was beautiful scenery.
We comforted ourselves on the borders of the dam under a tree. With breeze blowing on our face, we shared some jokes amongst ourselves. Laughing, giggling and teasing, we forgot how four hours had passed away. Our tummies had begun to knock the doors and it was time to treat them too. We walked to a nearby shop; a bite of Vada pav served there made my day! I stole a bite from Raju for which I had to buy him another one. Sad but it was funny. We enjoyed each other’s company and especially the company of Khadakwasla Dam. Guys, trust me, it’s a wonderful place to spend a day! Our day was well spent.
