Bangalore is a city I have always admired. The city has never failed to fascinate me. On my way to Whitefield, Bangalore, I drifted off into a nap enjoying the long drive. Not much later, I was jolted awake when my taxi stopped at the destination; International Tech Park. One look at it and my hands were already eager to just grab my handy camera and take a million pictures. Why, you ask? Because any IT professional like me who spends most of his time in the office, would love to go to work here. No complaints whatsoever! One sweeping glance at the whole scene in front of me tells me that only the best architects in the world would have worked on this beauty, because my oh my, it looks surreal! Perfectly mowed, lush green lawn spread as far as the eye can see. And beyond that, were tall glass and metal structures that made me feel like I was staring at the New York skyline!

On venturing inside, I soon discovered that the park had quite the number of facilities. Surprisingly, one of the facilities was a Business hotel. Not just any business hotel, but Vivanta by Taj! Talk about luxury! Pushing aside my jealousy, I walked into the mall in the park. I was welcomed by the central air conditioning and the liveliness of the mall itself! Needless to say, the mall had all my favourite stores and it also had numerous dining options.

While talking to another IT professional like me, I discovered that in addition to all that I’ve seen so far, they also have a cricket ground, a table tennis court and a badminton court! I also learnt of the various festivities that are conducted year after year, such as an Ethnic day, ‘Livewire’ which is a talent fest, and even a sports meet.

I walked around the park enjoying the weather and finally succumbed to my desire to take photographs. I sighed in bliss after my wonderful day. I’m just saying that if I was ever to work here, I would take pride in it and come to work with a smile on my face! And venturing in this Park was an adventure in itself though it had no activities like bungee jumping, paragliding, sailing or trekking! This IT Park is also like a national park but instead of wildlife and forest reserve , it has human beings who perform like machines and brain reserve that help to siphon attention and pride to the whole nation!

About Author :

Hey, I am Adway Chavan, an IT professional who spends all of his working hours staring at a computer screen...well, almost all. IT is my passion whilst nature, wildlife and adventure are the buzzwords I live by. I am also an amateur photographer and have travelled extensively in India and abroad. I never ever turn down a travel idea and spend all my holidays visiting national parks and forest reserves, biking up mountains and taking road trips. I have also indulged in bungee jumping, paragliding and sailing. One day I hope to take up the greatest challenge of all and go trekking in the Himalayas! Till then, watch this space!
