Time To Take A Break In Jaipur This Time Around!

A desk job as an IT professional is not the glamorous job that it seems to be and sometimes it gets so monotonous that you just need a break from it all! So this time I decided to go back to our roots in Rajasthan and I had planned a vacation there but what kept me from executing it was the timing. Jaipur being so close to the desert did not seem like the best option for a holiday but from some fairly good advice from friends I booked my vacation in the month of June!

Everything calms down during the month of June and July in Rajasthan when the first drops of the monsoon season hit the ground. It was not an overly wet climate but just right for my vacation. The cool breeze from the surrounding Aravalli mountain range would greet me in the morning along with the first rays of the sun when I looked out from my cottage at the Chokhi Dhani Resort. The resorts ever helpful travel desk arranged a trekking expedition for me and it was the most exciting adventures of my lifetime!

The resort itself is a small village and has so much to offer that I didn’t seem to find time for it let alone the city outside! Whether I decided to go swimming in the pool or out shopping on the streets of Jaipur I could be sure that the climate was just right and never too hot or too cold. So from henceforth I will be in Jaipur every year during June and July!

Hey, I am Adway Chavan, an IT professional who spends all of his working hours staring at a computer screen...well, almost all. IT is my passion whilst nature, wildlife and adventure are the buzzwords I live by. I am also an amateur photographer and have travelled extensively in India and abroad. I never ever turn down a travel idea and spend all my holidays visiting national parks and forest reserves, biking up mountains and taking road trips. I have also indulged in bungee jumping, paragliding and sailing. One day I hope to take up the greatest challenge of all and go trekking in the Himalayas! Till then, watch this space!
