Goan Food : Spicy And Tangy And Non-Vegetarian!

Goa the smallest state of India has the top place in Indian tourism and this charming beach destination was a place close to my heart! I am also a foodie who loves good food, good company and good ambience! Goa was the right place for me and I was dying to visit this enchanting beach destination with my kids and hubby. But my hubby had only one condition and that was that we should stick to budget and no splurging without any rhyme or reason! He had in mind a beautiful beachside resort called Santana Beach Resort and we all immediately agreed to the choice!

A Haven For Foodies: Goan Restaurants!

We checked into our hotel which was located in the Candolim Beach and the minute we stepped into our rooms, we were really taken aback by the mesmerizing ambience and the panoramic views of the Arabian Sea from the balcony. We were all famished by the long journey and soon set forward to the restaurant and we came to know that Goans are emotional about their drinks and equally emotional about their food! Everything was spicy, tasty, tangy and most of the dishes set in front of us were non-vegetarian.

We first tried out the Sorpotel which was made from pork and a very famous local delicacy. There is no doubt that it is perfect for meat-lovers!  We then tasted Ambotik which was prepared from fish and it is a sour curry and it tasted really out-of-the -world! Vindaloo was another dish that was really yummy and still makes us drool when we think about it! The holiday in Goa comprised of playing in the beaches, visiting the parks and wild life, and enjoying great food in a luxurious setting but an affordable budget hotel! What a holiday !
